10 reais of polymer

The banknote in question that we are talking about is not simply a 10 reais banknote from previous years. Especially because the real is still valid as our official currency. In this case, we are talking about a specific edition that was put into circulation in the year 2000.

This is the polymer banknote of 10 reals, that is, made of plastic, and which came out on the market as a commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Brazil by the Portuguese. Therefore, it had a very different design from the banknotes, even those of that time, in addition to its great differential, which was a semi-transparent red plastic circle in the corner.

On the front of the note was an illustration by Pedro Álvares de Cabral, discoverer of Brazil. The back had an illustration with the faces of several Brazilians as a sign of plurality. Not to mention the classic drawing of the macaw, which was also at the bottom of the banknote.

How much is the 2000 commemorative note worth?

If, by chance, you have this lost ballot somewhere in your house, know that you can earn money for it. After all, there are many collectors interested in owning one of these specimens for their private collection. To do this, they place advertisements, usually on buying and selling sites.
