Charlie Cox jokingly said that he would struggle with a new actor cast in the role of Daredevil in the MCU should the character be recast. Cox made her debut in the 2015 series of Netflix. Daredevil also starred Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Ayelet Zurer, Jon Bernthal, Élodie Young, Joanne Whalley and Wilson Bethel.
Daredevil stood out as Marvel's first series on Netflix, with the Krysten Ritter-led Jessica Jones debuting the same year and spawning Mike Colter's lead in Luke Cage. Cox's series would also launch its own spin-off with The Punisher starring Jon Bernthal in the titular role. Iron Fist would arrive in 2017, completing the team that would star in the Defenders crossover.

While overall reception was positive for all shows, they would be canceled in 2018-19 when Marvel Television was merged into Marvel Studios and Netflix's deal for the characters expired, leaving all of their futures in limbo.
Cox discussed the possibility of his return as Daredevil in the MCU. When asked about any advice he would give an actor if they were cast in the role instead of him, the 38-year-old English star gave a funny warning. See what Cox said below:
“I would go down to my basement, find my Daredevil mask and hunt him down. I would make him fight for it.”
Charlie Cox isn't the only actor from the Marvel series on Netflix who is eager to get back to the big screen. Ritter also recently expressed her hopes for a Jessica Jones return, expressing that she would "just die" to play the character again.
With the original Netflix deal now complete and all characters available for use by Marvel Studios, only time will tell who audiences will see on the big screen.
