A State Department of Education of Rio de Janeiro (Seeduc RJ) released the public notice for the new selective process for teachers. The document was published in the Official Gazette on June 11. The event opens 401 vacancies for new professors, who will be hired as temporary teachers for the year 2019.
Of the number offered, 15 vacancies are intended for teachers in the first grades of elementary school. The workload will be 22 hours for work at the State Indigenous School Guarani Karai Kuery Renda. To compete for vacancies, the candidate must have completed high school and a bachelor's degree or degree in Pedagogy. A teaching license is also required.

The rest of the 386 opportunities are distributed to teachers in the final years of Elementary and High School. Of this total, 286 vacancies have a weekly load of 16 hours. The remaining 100 vacancies are for a weekly load of 30 hours. The performance of these professionals will be in public schools, in effective class management.
Seeduc RJ Announcement: Prerequisites and Salaries
In this way, the candidate who has the intention of teaching the last years of Elementary School, High School and Courses of Middle Level Professional Education, must have a full degree or specific training to teach the disciplines of the curriculum official.
As for teacher positions for Technical Level Professional Education, a degree or higher education is required. In addition, you must have Pedagogical Complementation in your area of expertise.
Regarding the remuneration offered, the salary received by teachers varies according to the workload of each one. According to data released in April 2019, the amount paid for 16 hours of teacher performance was R$ 1,435.95. This compensation includes:
- R$ 1,179.35 of the basic salary;
- R$ 160.00 for food allowance;
- R$ 96.00 for transport allowance.
In addition to the basic salary, successful candidates will also be entitled to other benefits, namely:
- Maternity leave;
- Paternity leave;
- 13th salary;
- Vacation.

Registration for Seeduc RJ's new selection process is now open! To compete for one of the vacancies, it is necessary that the interested party enters the selection process website and complete your registration. The deadline for registrations extends until December 13, 2019, according to the end of validity of the public notice.
Candidates must select which region they want to apply for during registration. As soon as the registration is completed, the interested party must go to the Regional Coordination of Personnel Management of the chosen location or at the Centers of the Regional Coordination of School Inspection. It will be necessary to send proof of registration to take with you during the visit.
In this way, the calls will be carried out in the period from 8 am to 13 pm, on working days. In addition, it is necessary for the candidate to bring the documents that prove the information provided in the registration, as a minimum necessary training. It is also necessary to carry the documents that prove the professional experience and titles inserted, both with the original document and a copy.
The selection process will take place as follows: candidates will be selected by the end of the validity of the public notice, which occurs in December. During enrollment, the system will require the qualifications and experience that must be presented by the candidate, according to the tables in the public notice.
Calls will take place throughout the 2019 school year, and Seeduc will call teachers whose registration is accepted. The number of professionals hired will respect the limit of vacancies offered, according to the need and budget availability.
