The agreement will provide approximately 9,000 services to specialize women entrepreneurs over a two-year period. The project was named as Fashion Entrepreneurs, and aims to streamline activities that help with social impact and have products that include less risk to the environment.
In the first phase, free online courses will be made available. In the second stage, 90 entrepreneurs will be chosen to participate in a mentoring process specialized, guided by professionals from numerous areas who are able to assist in the progress of these companies.
Eduardo Ferlauto, executive director of Instituto Lojas Renner, stated that the purpose is to transform women's lives, together with their families, and provide training for female entrepreneurship leaders so that people evolve and come to live according to their aspirations.
The importance of the initiative is not only to grant financial development, but also environmental and cultural progress in the field of fashion, as highlighted by the president of Sebrae, Carlos Melles. In addition, it will direct the gaze directly to the female workforce, which symbolizes power and makes up the majority in this market, tirelessly fighting for the enhancement of their positions.
Another benefit provided by the agreement will be the family and sustainable production of organic cotton in municipalities of Minas Gerais, Paraíba and Ceará. The aim is to leverage local production and stimulate the production of the material. Approximately 200 families will benefit from the partnership by the end of 2023, which will consequently accumulate two cotton harvests.
