It is worth mentioning that the announcement has an investment of 20 million and contains challenges available in seven technological areas. Among them are robotics, digital technologies, geological modeling and others.

Furthermore, the investments made depend on the level of complexity that the challenges pose. The winning companies will be able to receive up to BRL 500,000 for soft tech challenges, or up to BRL 1.5 million for deep tech challenges.

Remembering that soft techs are startups responsible for developing computer programs, along with specialized equipment platforms. As for deep techs, they produce technology intensive in advanced research, including hardware, high-performance software and various materials.

According to the company's Director of Digital Technology and Innovation, Juliano Dantas, Petrobras is the company that most invests in open innovation in Brazil, totaling BRL 36 million in investment over three years.

In addition, in previous editions, 37 companies were recruited to work in the solutions development sectors, opening new doors for the startup and innovation industry. It can be highlighted that the selected companies receive support from Sebrae, which is a great partner of Petrobras.

The service will also provide support to companies regarding the activities carried out, from the first stage to the last, when presenting themselves to the judges. The aim of the project is to give more visibility to small businesses, whether they belong to the oil, gas or technological development area.

Many companies that have already participated in the project have been very successful in their journey, with the startup CTR3SM being selected in the 2020 public notice to be highlighted.

About to finish its trajectory later this month, the startup developed a project called Harpia, more precisely, a robotic platform. The proposal contains a remotely piloted aircraft, with the presence of sensors and cameras capable of uniting artificial intelligence and computer vision. The device is very similar to a drone, being possible to use it in large industrial areas, not very accessible and dangerous.

Finally, the Startups module was originalized based on Petrobras' interest in aligning the relationship with the innovation ecosystem, thinking exclusively of small companies with bases technologies.
