According to the economic team, access via bank is now available to Itaú and Agibank account holders. In all, there will be nine institutions integrated into Gov.br. In this way, Sicoob, Banrisul, Santander, Caixa, Banco do Brasil, Bradesco and BRB will also be included.

This measure facilitates access for account holders, as citizens will not need to memorize new passwords, in addition to providing users with silver security.

Therefore, it is possible to access 4,900 public services available on Gov.br. Among them are the pre-filled income tax return, amounts receivable from the Central Bank, as well as INSS benefits.

Procedure for account holders of banks integrated with Gov.br

  • When accessing the account, the user must select “Other identification options” and then click on “Login with your bank”.
  • On the next screen, choose the bank where you have an account.
  • Bank validation in all financial institutions can be done via the web and in the Gov.br application.

Caio Mario Paes, Special Secretary for Debureaucratization, Management and Digital Government, emphasizes that the validation of banking institutions in Gov.br is safe. The secretary explains that the institution does not obtain data from the government about the citizen. The government just makes sure that the person is really who he says he is and that his identification is the same as the bank has in his data.
