In general, the FGTS withdrawal can be made when workers are fired without just cause or in cases of retirement. There are several types of withdrawal modalities and one of them is the birthday withdrawal, which occurs in the month of each worker's birthday.
The birthday withdrawal should be released by the end of the year for thousands of Brazilians. The withdrawal in question is not mandatory, however, when opting for it, the individual does not receive the full amount of the guarantee fund in case of termination without just cause.
To access the fund, simply download the FGTS application, which is available for Android and iOS. In addition, it is important to remember that the 40% fine on top of the amount deposited is still the worker's right.
What value is available?
The amount that is made available to workers depends directly on the FGTS balance of each person who opts for the birthday withdrawal. In this view, the individual can redeem up to half of his guarantee fund. However, this amount has an additional fee, depending on the amount to be withdrawn.
Lower values show a higher percentage rate, but the additional rate is slightly lower or does not exist. Therefore, higher values have higher percentage rates and, consequently, the additional rates increase simultaneously.
