The price to withdraw the RG document will rise following the adjustments of the UPF, which is a rate correction index for all states. The increase is valid only for the issuance of the second copy of the document, since the first copy is free throughout Brazil.

Currently, the state with the highest value is Mato Grosso do Sul, costing BRL 188 to issue the second copy of the document. Sergipe is the state with the lowest value, currently costing R$ 16. Interestingly, Amazonas is the only state with free issuance of the 2nd copy of the RG.
How to get free on the 2nd way?
besides the amazon, some other states offer free issuance of the 2nd copy of the RG in some cases. In Minas Gerais, for example, the issuance can be free of charge as long as an incident report is presented reporting the theft or theft of the document. In Rondônia, the document can also receive free of charge in case of expiration.
