Tunisia, or Tunisian Republic, is a country located in North Africa that borders on the east by the Mediterranean Sea. border with Italy, close to the island of Pantalaria and the Pelágas islands, as well as bordering to the east and south with Libya and to the west with the Algeria.
The climatic characteristics that stand out are the Mediterranean with cold winters and hot, dry summers. Average temperatures are 12ºC in December and 30ºC in July, with moderate rainfall, in the south the climate is desert.
As for the vegetation cover, it has a Mediterranean-type cover to the north, in addition to plants from subtropical features such as hibiscus, bougainvillea, aromatic jasmine, citrus, olive and vines.
The relief shows, to the north, mountainous areas where the Atlas Mountains are located, in the center of the country there is a plain, hot and dry region.
The country's hydrography to the north runs through a perennial river, the only one in the country, called the Medjerda, where there is a large valley that develops agriculture.
