Caixa Para Elas: why was it created?

Caixa Econômica has recently engaged in campaigns related to the protection of women. Much of this is due to Daniella Marques, president of the institution appointed in June 2022. Since then, the bank has taken over and publicized campaigns such as August Lilac – awareness month for the end of violence against women. In addition, protecting women and encouraging female entrepreneurship has been much debated. Learn more below.

How will Caixa professionals be trained?

instagram story viewer

The training of professionals for specialized care consists of classes on the situation of domestic violence, encouraging financial education aimed at entrepreneurship and offering specific banking services for women.

From when will the agencies be available?

In this new environment, women can find a safe area to talk with professionals engaged in the fight against misogyny, against domestic violence and femicide. Therefore, starting this month, approximately 100 Caixa branches and self-service points will already have spaces for women – or will be exclusive for them.

If you want to make a complaint, can I do it in this space?

No. However, Caixa will make awareness posters available with the channels for denouncing crimes against women. If you do not find such posters, employees will be instructed to go through official channels.

What subjects would be addressed in these spaces?

As mentioned, Caixa is focused on expanding its female audience. It is estimated that only 20% of women have access to credit. Thus, expanding access to credit and stimulating female entrepreneurship would be the main objective of the project. Therefore, it will be possible for women to find professionals qualified to:

  • Clarify doubts about access to personal credit or to start a business;
  • Inform about investment for opening companies and women's enterprises in general;
  • Provide tips and information on financial education for families headed by women or for business administration.
