Banco do Povo offers a loan of up to R$ 5,000 for those with bad debts

Many people became indebted due to the crisis in economy resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, there is a very large number of people with a dirty name in Brazil. Thinking about it, the People's Bankpaulista created a loan for negatives of up to BRL 5 thousand.

Initiative was called “Clean Name”

The loan was created by the Economic Development Secretariat of the State of São Paulo with the objective of help companies that were affected by the need for social isolation during the period of the coronavirus pandemic Covid-19.

The resources will be made available by Banco do Povo Paulista and the idea is that the loan money will be used to help in the settlement of debts made by entrepreneurs in the main bodies responsible for credit protection, such as SPC and Serasa.

Who can apply?

The credit will be destined to Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEI), Individual Limited Liability Company (Eireli), owners of Micro Company (ME) and Limited Company (LTDA).

Criteria for applying for the “Clean name” loan

Some criteria were established to define who can apply for credit. Please check if you meet the following requirements:

  • Lives in the state of São Paulo;
  • Debt contracted as of March 2020;
  • Attended an entrepreneurial qualification course;
  • Have a recovery plan to present;
  • Finally, you need to have the document proving your activity at hand, issued by consumer protection bodies.

How to apply?

To apply for the credit line, it is necessary to go to a Banco do Povo unit in the respective municipality where the CNPJ is registered. You can find Banco do Povo units all over the state of São Paulo, which makes it easier to sign up for microcredit.

The goal is to benefit up to 30,000 entrepreneurs

Last year, Banco do Povo Paulista released R$ 315.7 million, distributed in more than 19 thousand operations. In this sense, the goal for this year is to reach R$ 378 million, in order to reach an even greater number, reaching the mark of 30 thousand beneficiary entrepreneurs throughout the state.
