Low back pain and back pain: same thing?

Low back pain is one of the most common types of back pain. Yeah, it can occur due to lack of strengthening exercises, stretching or it can be pre-existing by a condition like disc hernia, for example.

This pain usually causes a lot of discomfort in everyday movements like getting up, laying down, bending down and even walking. Thus, the best way to prevent these pains is to take care of your body by doing stretching exercises.

Keeping your body still and relaxed is a good strategy for relieving milder pain. Standing in such a way that your back is straight for a few minutes and avoiding the same position are ways to relieve the muscles in your back and reduce pain.

Stretching the body, especially in the first moment of the day, is a way to make your body move and strengthen, preventing muscle pain or even relieve at the exact moment of pain, without much effort.

In addition, using a hot bag to place on the pain site for 20 minutes causes the blood vessels to dilate and relieves the pain sensation, giving a feeling of relaxation.

  • As a last resort: medicine

If the pain is too great, it is valid to use a medicine that is a muscle relaxant or anti-inflammatory to help relieve the pain (with proper medical guidance).

  • Healthy routine, stable weight
