Does WhatsApp Gold exist?

Recently, a video spread on the internet offering a different version of WhatsApp, called WhatsApp Gold. However, in the WhatsApp app itself there is already a forwarding of an alert message about this link. In that message, it is informed that, when accessing such video, you would install a virus called “Gambarelli” that could block your phone and access your bank accounts.

WhatsApp has positioned itself on the subject, stating that there is no “gold” version of the application. In addition, the company reports that the only WhatsApp apps currently available are WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business. In that sense, any other app claiming this connection to the official app or claiming to be a different version is a scam. In addition to this, so far there is also no information about the circulation of the virus mentioned above, which may also be false information.
