Get the bad smell of cigarettes out of clothes
- baking soda + vinegar
If you're at home and want to remove the bad smell from your clothes, it's worth cleaning the piece in the sink with baking soda, vinegar and a little liquid soap. So, when you finish this step, put your clothes to wash normally in the machine along with vinegar and you will see that the bad smell will go away.
- vinegar + alcohol
Another way to get the smell of cigarettes out of clothes is to make a homemade solution of white vinegar and 70% alcohol. To mix, just put about 100ml of water in a spray bottle, then add 150ml of white wine vinegar and 150ml of alcohol (can be flavored or neutral, depending on your preference) preference).
In this way, seal the sprayer well, mix and spray the contents throughout the piece and let it air for about 1 hour. Then rinse in the washing machine with fabric softener and soap to ensure the smell is completely gone.
- Perfume or fabric softener + water
If you're out and about and don't have access to the laundry room, for example, try using perfume in a spray bottle or a combination of water and fabric softener. Therefore, apply in a ventilated area and leave the garment exposed to the air flow until the garment is completely free of the odor.
- white vinegar
In addition to being ideal for washing these clothes individually – with soap and fabric softener – you can dip them in white wine vinegar before washing, letting them soak for a while.
As a great laundry companion, it helps remove bad smells (smoke and sweat odors, for example) from your clothes. So, just put 1 and 1/2 cup of vinegar in a bucket of water on your clothes and wait 1 hour. Then just wash normally.
