Ingredients:
To make the churros, you will need ingredients for the dough, for the filling and also for the sprinkles.
So, for the dough we will need:
- 1 cup (tea) wheat flour;
- 1 spoon (tea) of vanilla essence;
- 2 eggs;
- 3 tablespoons of butter;
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar;
- 1 pinch of salt.
For the filling, we only need 1 ingredient:
- 1 can of condensed milk.
Finally, to sprinkle it will be necessary:
- ½ cup (tea) sugar;
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.
Now, with all the ingredients in hand, let's prepare!
Method of preparation:
Start by streamlining the stuffing process. We are going to turn our can of condensed milk into dulce de leche. And it's very easy to do this. Then, remove the label and glue residue from the can and place it closed inside a pressure cooker, covering the can in water.
Then just let it cook on medium heat for 15 minutes after boiling. Remove the pressure and the can from inside the pan. After cooling down you already have your dulce de leche. Mix it just so it's very homogeneous. And then, we move on to the dough. Mix the brown sugar, salt, butter, vanilla essence and 1 cup of water in a pan.
Over medium heat, stir the mixture until it boils. Soon after, remove the pan from the heat and add wheat flour to the mixture. Stir well and add the eggs. Soon after, keep stirring until the mass is homogeneous. Then, using a piping bag with a beaded tip, shape the dough into churros.
Now all you have to do is place the churros on a baking sheet lined with butter paper and bake them over high heat, preheated to 200°C for 30 minutes. And then, in 20 minutes, your churros are ready! Finally, sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture and serve with the dulce de leche.
