Buying a home with FGTS
The Federal Government offers housing programs that facilitate access to housing, such as Casa Verde e Amarela. There are also other initiatives that help in the conquest of the dreamed property for those who are civil servants or workers who earn up to three minimum wages.
However, the FGTS is still the form most used by Brazilian workers. So much so that the expectation is that more people will take advantage of the fund's money to get out of rent in 2022. Furthermore, if you already have a loan, you can also use the fund to pay off outstanding installments. In other words, reduce the number of installments.
In this sense, it is required to have at least three consecutive years in formal jobs. It is also worth mentioning that these three years may not be in the same company. Another requirement is that the beneficiary does not have any other financing in his name. And also that you don't have any other property in the same city where you intend to use the FGTS.
To use your FGTS, you must present personal and official documents, as well as the FGTS Account Statement and also your work card. The value of the property can be up to R$ 1.5 million.
