Powdered milk or liquid milk?
First, have you ever wondered if it's better to use liquid or powdered milk? According to Professor Ana Clarissa dos Santos Pires, from the Department of Food Technology at Federal University of Viçosa, in Minas Gerais, powdered milk loses few nutrients during the industrialization.
Thus, the process of making powdered milk is very simple. Basically, it goes through a treatment where all the water is removed so that it can turn into a paste. After that, it passes through the spray dryer that serves to pour droplets and turn it into powder.
Thus, there is a smaller loss of nutrients when compared to liquid milk, which undergoes extremely high temperatures.
Sweetie Milk Powder
Ingredients
- 1 can of chocolate powder;
- 1 can of powdered milk;
- 2 cans of condensed milk.
Method of preparation
In a bowl, mix the chocolate powder and half of the powdered milk. Then pour half of the condensed milk, little by little, until homogenized and unglued from the hands.
In another container, mix the powdered milk and the remaining condensed milk until it's very homogeneous and until it disgraces your hands. After that, cover the container with a plastic film and take it to the fridge for 30 minutes.
After that, with the help of a rolling pin, open the chocolate and white dough. Roll up like a rocambole and cut slowly. Ready! Your two-color milk candy is now ready for you to enjoy.
