Will Brazil Aid end?
Although the program is a hallmark of the Bolsonaro government, the president-elect has already stated that he will continue it. However, there is a great difficulty there, which is the budget approved by the current government for the following year, which did not include the aid amount of BRL 600.
Thus, the Lula government's transition team has already announced that it will seek to break the spending ceiling to continue with the value of R$ 600. Furthermore, citizens should note that starting next year the program will no longer be called “Auxílio Brasil”, but will revert to being “Bolsa Família”, as in the PT governments.
With the return of the old name, some of the established criteria for receiving the value also return, such as the mandatory enrollment of children in school, in the case of families with children. In addition, the elected government guarantees that there will be no end of aid resources for those who are registered, and that new people can continue to register.
How to register for Brazil Aid?
Auxílio Brasil has as a selection criterion families that are in a situation of social vulnerability, with a per capita family income of up to R$ 210. To prove your income and register, you must register with CadÚnico, a program designed to map low-income families.
This registration can be done at the CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) with the documents referring to all family members. Only then will it be possible to enroll in Auxílio Brasil, whose approval will be signaled in the Caixa Tem application, from Caixa Econômica Federal.
