Is it possible to use commemorative coins for shopping?

Well, as we mentioned, these coins cost BRL 34 and BRL 420, corresponding to values of BRL 2.00 and BRL 5.00. In this way, you will agree that it would not be right to use them for shopping, right? The ideal is for you to collect, because in a few years these coins will be worth much more than the amounts for which they are being sold now. The rarer a coin, the more it is worth on the collectors' market.

Why are rare coins worth a lot of money?

There are collectors of different physical items in the world, so it wouldn't be different with historical coins, would it? Mainly those that have already gone out of circulation or that were minted as part of a special edition, such as the colored coins commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Independence of Brazil.

Among coin collectors there is a classification that determines how valuable they are according to the degree of rarity, among other criteria. Anyway, if you buy copies of the colored coins, it will be much more advantageous to leave them in storage to earn a little money in the future, in case you want to get rid of them.
