The IQ Tests

IQ tests were developed in the 20th century, based on the exam created by Frenchman Alfred Binet in 1900. His original idea was not to identify the smartest, but to help those children who needed more support at school.

Its central method was to separate the groups by part, so that those who had a high score in relation to the others were considered outstanding students. Those who could not reach the average received special help.

The test as we know it today, however, took on other proportions. It became more difficult compared to the others and turned to the question of measuring people's intellectual capacity for certain situations, such as, for example, being hired in a company.
