Foods that can put you in a bad mood
- Sugar
Some sweets, such as chocolates, even contain compounds that can generate pleasure and thus influence a good mood. However, when these sweets contain an unnecessary excess of sugar, it can be a contributing factor to bad moods. Therefore, choose chocolates with more cocoa and less sugar, and always avoid excess sugar, as it can prevent you from resting and causing discomfort.
- white pasta
White pasta has several disadvantages over so-called wholemeal pasta, after all, it has a high glucose content and does not contain fiber. With that, consuming bread and pasta in general in excess contributes to the imbalance of intestinal flora and, consequently, affects our emotions. There are even studies that point to the relationship between white flour and severe headache and also depression.
- Coffee
In certain people, coffee will have a function similar to that of a drug, as it can generate dependence, albeit at lower levels. However, both this coffee addiction routine and the acceleration in adrenaline production can cause discomfort. For example, people who drink a lot of coffee tend to have problems with sleep, and they are also more prone to anxiety.
- Fried and processed foods
Anyone looking for good mental health needs to avoid fried foods and also very greasy and processed foods. This is because they have a high concentration of preservatives, capable of causing intoxication and irritability. Fried foods, on the other hand, influence the increase in bad cholesterol and decrease important hormones for our well-being, such as trypophane and serotonin.
