How to enter rural retirement?
This benefit is extremely important to help rural workers maintain an income when they are no longer able to work.
Rural retirement is a right guaranteed to all people who carry out activities in rural areas, whether in the individual or family economy model. Social security separates these workers into four categories, namely: insured employee, insured individual worker, insured individual contributor and special insured.
There are three requirements that entitle you to rural retirement, which are:
- Have worked for at least 15 years in rural areas or in a family or individual economy regime;
- Be at least 55 years old if you are a woman or 60 years old if you are a man;
- To be working in rural areas at the age of 55 or 60.
In order to speed up the analysis of retirement requests by the INSS, the rural self-declaration changed its format. Therefore, the request can be made online, through the website or the application My INSS, available for Android and iOS.
Check now the step-by-step process to enter rural retirement by age:
- Enter the Meu INSS website or app using your gov.br login. If you don't have a record, just create one;
- After that, click on the “New Application” option. You will be redirected to a page with a list of services. Search for “Rural Retirement”;
- Then fill in some data to complete the order;
- After confirming the data and updating the form, you must attach the requested documents;
- Finally, fill in your zip code and select an agency for granting the benefit;
- Now, just confirm your order and follow it through the portal or application.
