This type of automatic application has been a great attraction for many people who do not understand investment. With this, banks are considering it as a way to attract more customers, as the idea of making money with it in the current account draws attention.

What is automatic income?

The automatic income or automatic application is about that money that is stopped in your current account, and just by being there, it already generates some income. This mechanism works like a type of investment, however, much simpler, since everything is automatic and you don't have to do anything.

How does BB Rende Fácil work?

Banco do Brasil's automatic application works as follows: at the end of the day, the balance present in your account is applied automatically, and the moment you use that money, it is redeemed automatically.

Therefore, its operation is very similar to other digital banks. However, the difference is found in how much your money will give you in return for this “investment” made.

What is the yield on the account at Banco do Brasil?

The profitability of BB Rende Fácil is based on the CDI (Certificate of Deposit). This is the interest rate that banks use to lend each other money. The value of the CDI is related to Brazil's basic rate, the Selic, which is currently 10.75% per annum.

According to information from Banco do Brasil, the yield starts at 10% of the CDI and over time reaches 100%. Below are the terms and yield ranges:

  • 1 to 60 days = 10% of the CDI;
  • 61 to 120 days = 20% of the CDI;
  • 121 to 180 days = 30% of the CDI;
  • 181 to 360 days = 50% of the CDI;
  • 361 to 720 days = 100% of CDI.

Simply put, 10% of the CDI generated in 1 month is equivalent to 0.08% interest on account funds. Finally, assuming that the customer has BRL 1,000 deposited, the income will be BRL 0.80 in that period.
