State-of-the-art TV signal kits will be distributed
According to information provided by the federal government, TV signal reception kits will be delivered to almost 10.5 million families. The equipment is up-to-date and will offer enhanced image and sound quality for everyone.
In Brazil, approximately 20 million families still watch open and free television through the C-Band satellite. However, as a result of this action, the signal will be migrated to the Ku Band, seeking to end interference in the 5G signal. In addition, starting in July, the new 5G network will be installed in 27 Brazilian cities.
TV for everyone!
The H.265 standard is the basis for the new TV signal encoding format for low-income people. This standard was instituted by the Monitoring Group for the Implementation of Solutions for Interference Problems in the 3,625 to 3,700 MHz band (Gaspi).
Gaspi is made up of government representatives, telecommunications companies, media companies and representatives of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). In this way, TV reception kits will be distributed to ensure that families are not left without the possibility of watching television on open channels.
