Taxi drivers managed to guarantee aid for the class that aims to reduce the impacts of the increase in gasoline in Brazil. Thus, a benefit in the amount of R$ 1,000 was instituted for taxi drivers, and a double installment has already been paid.
This is because the installment that was made available last Tuesday (16) corresponds to the value of two months, so there are two installments. In this way, the more than 25,000 taxi drivers who received the money have R$ 2,000 in their account.
In this case, payments are made through accounts registered in the Caixa Tem application. This is the same app that Brazilians used to receive Emergency Aid during the months of social isolation. After the end of the resource, the Government chose to continue using the tool for Social Benefit projects.
Who can receive Taxi Assistance?
With the approval of the PEC that released resources for social benefits, the Government also established that it would be the responsibility of city halls and governments to release information on the benefit. That's because those who work with the taxi and have an active registration in their city hall as such are entitled to receive the Taxi Driver Assistance.
However, the driver should be aware, as he can only receive those whose concession or license had shipments until May 31, 2022. In addition, the driver must also have registered and requested assistance.
For those who did not receive the aid, there is a new chance, as city halls will have to send new data on taxi drivers between August 20th and September 11th. If the taxi driver has any questions, it will be necessary to contact your city hall.
