We have the example of Santander and Bradesco banks and, recently, Itaú bank and Mercado Pago, which launched the idea of "Seguro Pix" for its users in order to ensure more safety and comfort for their customers.
Pix insurance: how will it work?
The way this insurance works is very simple. The bank customer will pay a monthly fee that can vary between 3 and 16 reais, having the guarantee that, at a necessary moment, he will be able to activate this insured benefit.
In addition, the guaranteed indemnity may vary between R$1,500.00 and R$30,000.00, depending on the supplying bank. However, Pix insurance should only be triggered in a specific case, such as a physical threat and restriction of freedom at the time of the transaction, such as a lightning kidnapping.
Thus, in order to be entitled to withdraw the insurance amount, it is first necessary to open a police report as required evidence. Furthermore, it is important to emphasize that this benefit is individual and non-transferable, and can only be used by the account holder.
Some measures that can help to avoid a coup

- Do not make transfers without first confirming by phone or in person;
- Never give your passwords or access codes to anyone;
- Only register your Pix keys by some official means of your bank;
- Don't provide any information via phone to make any kind of registration on Pix or WhatsApp (this doesn't exist).
