Meta wants to ensure, for example, that conversations remain at the top, that is, pinned. They are focusing on improving this option in WhatsApp beta, in its version 2.23.3.17 for Android.

The possibility to pin messenger conversations will be functional for group conversations. It will also help not to miss something important that was said in the chat, as this would likely disappear because of the more recent messages the user would end up receiving.
Other applications already exhibit this feature for some time, so WhatsApp will not be innovating, however this option is not found in Signal, which authorizes that only the most important conversations are fixed in the top.
WhatsApp intends to make other changes in the future, as pinning conversations is not the only feature they will add, after all, tests to share photos with high resolution are already being done.
Despite this, the team is focused on changes that allow pinning messages in chats and group conversations. There is no exact date for the update to be released, but it should be released firsthand by the betas.
