ICar? Apple is making a car and this is how it could be

For now, it's no secret that Apple is hard at work building its own electric car. Details of the company's activities have been made public several times. However, what remains classified so far is what to expect when a car with the Apple logo hits the roads. A new version of Apple's yet-to-be electric car could be what we're all looking for.

Apple electric car deliveries are courtesy of a car leasing company called Vanarama. Of course, this is purely speculative, as we know virtually nothing about the car so far. However, Vanarama has ensured that its design aligns with all the patents that Apple has already filed for the electric car.

Interestingly, Vanarama managed to take those cues and fuse them with the classic Apple design language we see in the tech major's current product lineup. This means that the design seen in the speculative images was inspired by iPhones, MacBooks and other Apple products.

At first glance at the images, we can see the minimalist design of the electric car that Apple is known for. Smooth, unencumbered elements extend in all directions, only to curve around the front and rear of the car and then continue on. In short, the entire body of the car is a single continuous unit rather than different panels.

Only the four doors appear to be the exterior elements here, which are positioned to open at either end of the car. It means the front door will open forward and the back door will open backwards. Big wheels, retractable door handles, no door pillars – so far, the images have all been in line with the minimalist approach Apple can take to its car.

Since Apple is such a technology maven, the point of interest is what's inside the car. In the images, the artist portrayed simple but elegant interiors, including a steering wheel designed like that of an F1 car. Previous reports had suggested that Apple would remove the steering wheel entirely in hopes of achieving the car's full range. However, this is unlikely to happen, as the company is targeting an electric car launch in 2025.

In these lines, we can even see the pedals, the elegant and smart equipment on the side and a continuous display across the panel. The concept mentions that Apple will equip it with Siri support, something we're all hoping to see in an Apple car, if there is one.

Another testament to Apple's pursuit of self-driving technology in the concept's design is the way it showcases the car's seats. The design shows four swivel seats inside the car, which can be lined up to face each other, like in a living room setup. This would only be useful, however, if the car actually managed to drive itself.
