The current management intends to start a “new My home, my life“, announced in February by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). However, the project does not yet have a release date.

The program offers guarantees and financing for the acquisition of new or used properties, construction, renovation or expansion of homes.

Families benefiting from the program receive special payment conditions, such as low interest rates and longer terms to repay the loan.

Minha Casa, Minha Vida is divided into different income brackets, which determine the amount of credit and financing.

Families with a monthly income of up to R$2,640 can enroll in Level 1 of the program, which offers significant gains in property value and financing.

Families with a monthly income of up to R$8,000 can enroll in Tiers 2 and 3, which offer benefits and financing with reduced interest rates.

Water for All Program

According to Minister Rui Costa, in addition to changes in the housing program, President Lula will launch the Água Para Todos program in the next few days.

"We are finalizing meetings, seeking to promote private and public sector investment," he said.

The project will focus on basic sanitation, which is the set of measures and techniques aimed at ensuring adequate health and hygiene conditions for the population.

All this through access to services and infrastructure related to water supply, sewage collection and treatment, solid waste management and urban drainage. Also according to Costa, the government is preparing a new legal framework for sanitation.

According to data from the Trata Brasil Institute, around 35 million Brazilians do not have access to treated water, and more than 100 million do not have sewage collection.
