Unicamp is highlighted among several universities in the world
It is a fact that there are thousands of universities around the world and they all carry their history and paths of success. Unicamp (State University of Campinas) is among the 200 best universities in the world.
How did the survey work?
The survey was carried out by a British consultancy and, therefore, Unicamp was among the top 200 institutions. To make the survey more complete, the ranking was made up of 1,569 higher education institutions.
In the analysis, there were 54 areas from the five fields of knowledge: Arts and Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Management, Life Science and Engineering and
Technology.After all, what exactly was the search ranking?
The QS consultancy was responsible for preparing the QS World University Rankings 2023 and has become a reference in university assessments.
Unicamp, in this edition, was among the 200 best in the world in nine surveys, namely: Petroleum Engineering, Dentistry, Agricultural Engineering, Anthropology, Development Studies, Modern Languages, Chemical Engineering, Sociology and Engineering Electric.
What was the university that occupied the first position?
Harvard University, in the United States, is in first place in the ranking in four of the five categories. The exception was the field of Engineering and Technology, led by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Were there other Brazilian universities in the ranking?
Unicamp was not the only one that represented Brazilian universities in the ranking, but it had the second best overall result. Brazil ranked 15th among the countries with the best evaluated courses. In addition, Brazilian higher education was ranked as the 20th strongest in the world.
