Auxílio-Criança Cidadã is a supplementary benefit of Auxílio Brasil, with payments destined directly to schools and kindergartens. This resource was developed to support families with children from 0 to 48 months of age.

Therefore, the initiative is aimed at children who were unable to find a place in public day care centers or other institutions of early childhood education. Thus, the institutions enrolled in the program will receive transfers for enrollment, which may be part-time, only for one shift (morning or afternoon), or full-time, in which the child spends the whole day at the institution teaching.

It is worth noting that transfers will be made to the chosen day care center until the child turns four. According to the updated rules of the program, the amount varies according to the school's class schedule. Therefore, the monthly fee for the part-time shift is BRL 200 per enrollment, while the full-time fee is BRL 300 per enrollment.

What are the requirements to participate in this benefit?

Educational institutions must be registered with the Child Citizen Assistance System to provide assistance to early childhood education. In addition, it is necessary to prove income from informal activity with remuneration or bond in formal employment and not be registered in any other government benefit. Finally, the child must be at least 48 months old by March 31 of the year in which he/she is enrolled in a day care center and have an up-to-date Auxílio Brasil registration.
