The Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM) had an increase of 26.6% in the production of motorcycles in October, when compared to the same period of 2021. This result was pointed out by the association as the third best of the year.
The president of Abraciclo, Marcos Fermanian, highlighted in a note that the social change on the impacts on the planet caused by the means of transport drives the industry, as well as fluctuations in the prices of fuels. Thus, consumers have a preference for economical and ecological means of transport.

Motorcycle production in the country increased by 19.3% between January and October, which, according to Abraciclo, is the best result for the first ten months of the year since 2014. With regard to sales of motorcycles, in October, there was a high of 24%. Added to that, that same month was the best for registrations.
The volume of licenses in the month of October increased by 33.9% in the North Region. However, the Southeast took the lead in sales, adding up to 38.1% of market share. Next, the Northeast stands out with 30.1%.
Exports, on the other hand, did not have a considerable increase when compared to the previous year. That year, 4,047 motorcycles were sold, while in 2021 there were 4,182. This represents a decline of 3.2%.
Based on data from the foreign trade statistics portal Comex Stat, 29% of exports were destined for Argentina.
So far, in the year 2022, motorcycle exports total 47,717. When compared to the same period last year, an increase of 1.6% is noticeable. The Comex Stat identifies Colombia as the main export market (28.1%) followed by Argentina (24.3%).
