To solve this challenge, you will have to use the matchsticks that are inside the bigger square. As you can only move two matchsticks, prioritize the two outermost squares, as the first one, which is inside, is already connected to the larger square.
So, you should add a matchstick in the column of the larger square and then add another matchstick parallel to the first one. Thus, you will form a smaller square and your objective will have been achieved.
