New aid of R$ 65 for women from all over Brazil
According to the document, the Pregnant Composition Benefit (BCG) will be offered to pregnant women participating in the Single Registry (CadÚnico), or who are part of the Auxílio Brasil program. During all the months of pregnancy, each beneficiary must receive 65 reais per month.
Purpose of BCG
BCG is part of the Family Composition Benefit, part of the well-known Auxílio Brasil program. This aid is allowed and provided to pregnant women with the aim of increasing the protection mother-child care during pregnancy, thus encouraging greater attention to the critical phases of the child development.
Payments and details of the new benefit
New care payments must continue regardless of the stage of pregnancy. That is, it is possible to use these transfers regardless of the month in which the person is pregnant. In addition, the ordinance estimates that deposits should normally occur even in the event of an abortion.
In short, each pregnant woman can only receive one BCG. However, there is no limit to the benefits per family. If she becomes pregnant again, she cannot get new benefits until 12 months later.
Finally, pregnant women will be automatically selected based on data from the Unified Health System (SUS) with the help of the Ministry of Health, such as prenatal information. Also, there is no deadline to start payments. However, it is estimated to happen in the coming months.
