99 updated: application shows the driver the amount to be received after the trip

A few months ago, partner drivers of the 99 ride app asked the company to disclose the exact amount to be received after a completed trip. Finally, after a published note, this order was created. Known as “Know How Much You Will Win”, the update of the application it predicts the exact amount to be received when requesting the ride, as has been the case for some months in the competing application, Uber.

Disclosure of values ​​for 99 drivers

In February 2022, Uber chose to disclose to drivers the exact amount that would be received for a trip and also the distance in kilometers that will be traveled to each final destination. Since then, partner drivers of 99, the main competitor, are seeking to receive the same information.

Numerous requests were made by various drivers linked to the company, but the request was finally granted on December 15 of this year. Here are some rules regarding the change:

Which categories will be updated?

Only drivers linked to the Pop and Comfort categories will have prior information on the amount to be received for each trip. For the other modalities, the current situation remains: they will only receive a remuneration estimate when requesting the race.

What if there is a need to recalculate the value?

Thanks to the unpredictability of traffic, it is possible that, at least in some situations, the route needs to be recalculated. Well, the value of the race too. And there? In these cases, it is possible that there are changes in the value, but provided that the driver receives a higher amount than what was previously disclosed by the application.

Change encourages greater financial planning

This possibility of estimating with certainty the minimum amount to be received on the day encourages partner drivers of 99, since in this way it is possible to make a real-time estimate of how much the employee's remuneration will be day. It also allows for more in-depth cost-benefit analysis to be done before accepting a ride.

It is expected, therefore, that the measure will bring these and other benefits to the driver and to the client, that she will be less susceptible to sudden trip cancellations.
