Through the announcement published by Tecnoblog, Itaú described the changes made as a way of privileging transactions made in the group's stores. Other cards such as Miles and Travel have already undergone these updates.
And talking about the categories of each card, the PDA Platinum will start accounting for two points per dollar and five points per dollar for purchases made at Pão de Açúcar stores. PDA Gold, on the other hand, will offer 1.5 points per dollar, while at Pão de Açúcar stores this number increases to three points per dollar.
Before, transfers of points made to Smiles and Latam were 0.8, as there was a discount; however, with these changes, this will no longer be necessary. Also, transfers will be one-to-one.
O cashback for PDA Platinum customers it will be R$30 per thousand points, but for PDA Gold it will be R$25.
In fact, the PDA was undoubtedly the best card for accumulating miles. Before, for each real spent, it was possible to exchange it for one point with bonuses for transfers to airlines. An annual amount was accumulated, then the annuity was paid in full.
Even if now for every dollar the customer will have two points, this benefit is still below the competitors, who offer 2.2, or 2.5. The card becomes an attraction when we talk about shopping at Pão de Açúcar, since the customer has a 20% discount on some products and there is a higher converted score.
