Businesses are increasingly scared of cyberattacks

Many companies are freaking out about the cyberattacks that continue to roll out in 2022. According to the Russian company Kaspersky, compared to the previous year, data hijackings have risen by more than 100% in companies in Latin America.

Another security company also conducted a survey of cybercrimes caused by ransomware in Brazil. There are at least 17 groups of this malware spread across Brazil. Therefore, it is very important to open your eyes and invest in security programs.

Here are four predictions to anticipate cyberattacks, according to Marco Fontenelle, representative of the software company Quest:

Cyberattacks will continue to increase

The appearance of hackers committing these crimes is increasingly frequent, which are no longer limited to large companies, and can now affect anyone. They invade computers, arrest folders and ask for an amount to unlock them.

With this, these cyber criminals threaten the victim to pay, otherwise they say they will expose the stolen files. Other than that, there is still the issue of the lack of specialized professionals to make companies develop better strategies to prevent these attacks.

There must be better management of work platforms

With the new habits brought about by the pandemic, many jobs have become hybrid or even completely remote. Because of this, the technology sector of organizations has felt pressure to maintain greater security in internal data.

In this sense, it becomes essential to ensure correct adherence, to increase good practices, as well as to control outsiders, and it is also essential to plan policies for dialogue.
