Episodes in which things other than expected happened
1. Squidward in the episode "SB-129"
SpongeBob SquarePants has a lot of weirdness, like the fire they can light at the bottom of the ocean, for example. But really disturbing was the episode where Squidward was frozen in the Krusty Krab's freezer for 2,000 years.
When that happens, he begins to travel back in time, until he falls into an existential void that makes him miss his neighbor who he considered very unpleasant, SpongeBob. This episode “SB-129” (14th episode of the first season) is available on Paramount+.
2. Bunny, the sister of the Powerpuff Girls
Even the villains weren't as disturbing as the Powerpuff Girls' sister named Bunny. She was all clumsy and a little out of shape, born with a different makeup than the one she raised her sisters, Cutie, Sweetie and Blossom. It is in the episode “Sister” (11th of the second season) that she appears, available on HBO Max.
3. The Restlessness of Courage
Courage, the cowardly dog, also has its weird moments. Those who follow the series know that, although he is always going through some very complicated grips, he has Muriel as a refuge, a true safe haven.
However, in "The Mattress Demon", he is completely helpless because his owner is possessed by a demon. Even adults were uncomfortable with how scary the "parody" of "The Exorcist" becomes for younger audiences. Check out the episodes of this cartoon available to HBO Max subscribers.
4. Du turns into a monstrous creature
Du, Dudu and Edu plots usually have a lot of jokes and funny insights. However, the episode “O Dia em que o Du Parou” (season three) can also be considered a little scary. In it, the character transforms into a monstrous creature, slowly grabbing each child and pinning them to the wall, like a scene from the movie Alien. Episodes of this cartoon are available on HBO Max.
