Understand changes in proof of life before the INSS
By the end of 2022, the INSS will be implementing changes in proof of life. In this way, the body defined as no longer mandatory the attendance of the beneficiary in the Social Security agencies or in the banks that are part of the program.
As a result, policyholders will no longer need to leave home to provide proof of life and guarantee their benefits. Thus, according to the INSS, the main idea is that the proof of whether the person is alive or not will be done by collecting public data or in acts that exercise citizenship, such as voting, vaccination, among others. others.
How does the transition process take place?
This transition is taking place progressively, as the impact will reach more than 34 million people. In this way, the planning was carried out in a staggered way, and policyholders who have a birthday from March 3rd onwards can now take advantage of this new rule.
Understand how the new proof of life works
In order to maintain their regular status, the INSS informed that some actions may be taken for proof of life. These actions are: Maintain constancy in the use of applications and systems of public bodies, such as Meu INSS; conducting medical expertise, which can be done online or in person; proof of vaccination; updating CadÚnico data; renew or issue documents such as passport, driver's license, among others; and biometric recognition for receiving payment.
