The “Wheel of twitter” came up with the proposal to carry out restricted publications, allowing only contacts selected by the creators of the publications to have access to them.
However, the security of this functionality is being questioned by some users who report leaking posts to people not added to their personal wheels. Comments on this matter began to circulate last weekend.

In tests carried out by complainants, it is possible to observe how the publications are being displayed even for non-followers of users, allowing them to view the content, enjoy and even respond to posts.
Users also report that they have noticed the possibility of taking a screenshot of “leaked” content, which generates shares and further expands the reach of messages that should be private.
Problem proven by tests
In one of the tests carried out, a user emptied the list of his Twitter Wheel, which, in theory, should prevent anyone from viewing the publications made. However, users outside the list were still able to access the publications.
In this and other tests, it was possible to observe a small number of likes on a post that should be restricted, indicating that it was being delivered to other people.
On another test occasion, the list of users authorized to access the Wheel remained intact. However, four likes were recorded from accounts that were not part of the aforementioned list.
These cases suggest that Twitter's algorithm is even recommending posts that should be restricted, not just the users not present in some lists of the Twitter Wheel, but also some that were not among the contacts of the creators of these lists.
According to experts and more attentive users, the changes in Twitter's algorithm took place after the increase in relevance of posts made by users who pay for the Twitter Blue service, the “blue seal” of the platform.
