Assessment
The selection process consists of three stages, the first two of which take place virtually and the last one at Unicamp. The questions are essay and require the description of the calculations and reasoning used by the participants.
The exams have essay questions with calculations and a description of the reasoning used, the first stage being held from April 18th to 24th and the second from May 23rd to 29th. During the last stage, high school students will be able to take an optional individual test, which will reward those who stand out the most with the possibility of applying for vacancies in undergraduate courses at Unicamp without doing the entrance exam.
Registrations
Entries can be made through the Internet, by completing the team's registration form by a student, teacher or school employee. The registration fee varies according to the type of school. It is possible to request fee exemption until April 1st for public school students whose families are beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família Program. Teams from public schools pay a registration fee of BRL 50, while private schools must pay BRL 150 per team.
Medals will be given to the best placed teams at each level, elementary and middle, in addition to an award for the best essays. High school students who stand out in the individual test will also receive medals. Public school teachers who achieve the best performance, based on their teams' scores, will be awarded certificates and books.
OMU's proposal is to encourage participants to demonstrate arguments, justify the steps and expose their reasoning.
