The Revalida (National Exam for Revalidation of Medical Diplomas Issued by a Foreign Higher Education Institution) 2023 will have its second stage on the 24th and June 25, according to the public notice released by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC).
The tests are divided between theory and practice, based on the five main areas of Brazilian medicine, divided into gynecology and obstetrics, internal medicine, family medicine and pediatrics, surgery and health collective.

The test aims to assess the skills and abilities of professionals from abroad to work in the SUS (Unified Health System).
As indicated by notice will be able to take the test of the second stage.
This second stage opportunity is also intended for 2022 candidates who passed the first stage and failed the second stage of the exam.

Registration for the second stage will be from the 15th to the 19th of May, through the Revalida system http://revalida.inep.gov.br/revalida/.
The cutoff announced in the notice will be released on the 24th of May as well.
At this stage, candidates will have the opportunity to show specific and practical skills to validate the foreign diploma in Brazil.
The expectation is that the process of revalidation of diplomas of foreign physicians will be more agile and efficient, contributing to the improvement of health care in the country and granting access to professionals foreigners.
The cities that will apply the test, as well as the vacancies available in each of them, will be announced through the Revalida website when the candidate registers. There will be two days of examination with outpatient practices, reading of exams, hypotheses of diagnoses, investigation of the clinical case, among others.
