Maybe your relationship needs an end

It is important to point out that breaking up is less painful than staying in situations that hurt you. This doesn't mean that at the first sign of trouble you should break off your relationship. Like any interpersonal relationship, whether dating or friendship, conflicts are part of it. What we bring here are recurring signs, which there is no joint effort to correct, and which are disturbing you individually and as a couple. Check out the signs below:

1. You don't feel loved by that person

Gary Chapman, marriage counselor and author, created the theory of the 5 love languages. The 5 languages, which are: words of affirmation, quality time, gift, gestures of service and physical touch. They symbolize the main ways of showing love. According to him, everyone has their favorite love languages.

A red flag is when your partner doesn't show love in any way. Neither in the way that pleases him, nor in the way that he (a) feels loved. That way, reciprocity may no longer exist, especially if you've already said that you don't feel desired for that person and they haven't made an effort to show that they care.

2. Crises are frequent due to lack of communication

Communication failure generates noise and potentializes fights that, many times, could be simple. In this way, the important thing is not to solve the problem as a team, but to reaffirm that you are right. The lack of consensus can create misalignment, frustration and hurt with the partner. So, before we finish, we suggest couples therapy or a heart-to-heart talk about non-violent communication. If that doesn't work, breaking up might be the healthiest thing to do.

3. There is infidelity (especially if it is recurrent)

Singer Beyoncé claims that the period following the discovery of Jay-Z's betrayal was essential for the growth of union and respect between her and her husband, who remain together to this day. Meanwhile, not always the betrayed part of the relationship can forgive (and that's ok! ). Respecting your own feelings and not accepting what is beyond your capacity is much more noble than continuing a relationship where there is no longer any trust.

That way, if you still want to give your relationship another chance and believe that it is possible to give one more vote of confidence: Perfect. There's always a new chance when both are involved. However, if forgiving is beyond your capacity, simply walk away.
