The craziest inventions of the armed forces
Great Panjandrum
During the Second World War, several central countries decided to enter a fight not only with weapons, but also with technology. Among them, a team of engineers from the UK armed forces developed the Panjandrum.
The great Panjandrum was a device much like a waterwheel, with rockets in the wheels that gave it thrust. The idea was basically to use the “imbroglio” to attack enemies, but of course nothing worked.
the stink bomb
The name is already somewhat suggestive, but it really existed. The French army developed a stink machine to attack enemies. Ernesto Crocker developed an immensely stinky chemical weapon, intended to stun enemy soldiers. However, in the end, the test did not go as planned.
The car with propeller
Known as Rotabbugy, this is one of the craziest inventions ever and it seems to have come out of a child's head. The idea was basically to put together a Willys Jeep with some propellers and an elongated rear to assemble a flying car. Well, the venture didn't work out.
