However, for retirees who receive retirement in the amount of one minimum wage, according to a decree made by the former president Jair Bolsonaro, the value of the minimum wage is R$ 1,302 for the year 2023. This is the amount currently in effect, which is equivalent to a readjustment of 7.43%.

But, according to current President Lula's team, if the Transition PEC were approved, the minimum wage would be raised to R$1,320.

So far, even with the measure already approved by the National Congress and the value being present in the budget, the Federal Government found some more difficulties to provide this promised minimum wage increase, which was R$ 1,212 at the end of last year.

Finally, it should be noted that the adjustment mentioned for those who receive more than one salary will only be applied to those who already received the benefit in January of last year. If you started receiving payments in another month of 2022, the readjustment percentage will be lower.
