Central Bank will return forgotten money; know how to consult

Since March 7th, the Central Bank has been authorized to consult and redeem values ​​from financial institutions that have been forgotten by individuals and legal entities. The Central Bank informed that approximately 28 million users, being 26 million individuals and 2 million legal entities, should receive such amounts, and in total, R$ 4 will be shared billion. In the last analysis made by BC, more than 116 million customers have already checked the system and, among these, 25.9 million CPFs and 253 thousand CNPJs had some amount to be received.

Other sources of these forgotten values ​​are also available on the platform, such as the review of Social Security benefits, some small lottery prizes, shares of public funds, among others.

Regarding the possibility of withdrawal, only people who were born before 1968 and companies created before this year, between March 7th and 11th, will be authorized. The rest will have the amounts available for withdrawal in the coming weeks. If the beneficiary misses the deadline, a recap date will be made available.

Redemption of values

To request the values, it is necessary that the citizen has a silver or gold level account on the Federal Government website. The BC also requests that users do not leave to create the account and adjust the level on the day of redemption.

Even if people have not consulted the SVR, they can do so at any time, informing the date of birth and CPF. Those who already consulted, received a specific date and period to return to the site and request the redemption.

How to request the money?

Users must access the SVR website within the period and date informed in the first consultation. So just follow the steps below:

  • Log in with your Gov.br account (silver or gold level);
  • Read and accept the disclaimer;
  • To check:
    1. amount to be received
    2. The institution that must return the amount and the source (type) of the amount to be received
    3. Additional information, if necessary;
  • Select the option indicated by the system:
    1. “Request here”: this option indicates that the amount will be returned via Pix, within 12 business days. The customer must choose one of the Pix keys and provide personal data.
    2. “Request via institution”: this choice recommends that the bank not offer the return through Pix, and thus, the user should contact the institution via the email or telephone number provided.
