The renowned streaming platform, Netflix, has once again attracted the attention of Brazilian Internet users. The same informed on social networks another new series for launch. This Tuesday (11/23) Netflix announced on its twitter about a new dramatic miniseries production, which will tell about one of the greatest Brazilian tragedies.
The Kiss nightclub fire was a tragedy that happened in 2013 in Santa Maria in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The tragedy had 242 people killed on the spot.

Kiss nightclub fire
First, the fire at the Kiss nightclub happened on January 27, 2013 caused by the misuse of a pyrotechnic device in a closed environment and ended up costing the lives of 242 people. Because, during the presentation of a musical band, a fire occurred due to the use of a pyrotechnic instrument that ended up burning the foam that covered the ceiling of the establishment.
Then, with the burning of the foam, it became a highly toxic smoke that was one of the pivots in the death of many. Then, the fire also left about 600 injured. In addition, the attitude of the security guards at the nightclub made the problem even worse, they prevented people from leaving the place, claiming that they were charging for orders that had not been paid.
According to investigations, the nightclub operated with more people than the permitted capacity.
After 9 years of the tragedy, the judgment of the owners of the nightclub and members of the band that used pyrotechnics has not yet taken place.
About the miniseries “Every Day the Same Night”.
The Netflix miniseries will initially have 5 chapters, telling about the tragedy at the nightclub, and will also be based on the book “Todo Dia a Mesma Noite” by journalist Daniela Arbex. Therefore, the journalist and writer will be part of the project as a script consultant for the 5 released episodes. The story features 100 interviews with people connected to the tragedy.
Finally, the chapters will be written by Gustavo Lipsztein, who wrote the script for “The Patient – The Caso Tancredo Neves” and will be directed by Julia Rezende, who was responsible for “Meu Passado Me Condemn”.
The cast of the miniseries has not yet been announced, as well as its premiere date, but everything indicates that it will be on the 10-year anniversary of the tragedy.
