The Benefits of Green Tea

Green tea originates from the leaves Camellia sinensis. This plant has Chinese origin and was discovered by Japanese Buddhist monks. Tea is an ancient drink that attracts more and more consumers for its properties, aroma and flavor.

Science proves its therapeutic and cosmetic properties. Rich in flavonoids, antioxidant substances that favor the neutralization of free radicals responsible for cell aging is good for the skin, being more effective than carotenes and vitamins C and E, which act against early wrinkles. It can lower cholesterol levels, activate the immune system and prevent cancer.
Among its many health benefits, the properties of green tea are also linked to weight loss. According to a study, green tea extract increases energy expenditure, fat oxidation and is detoxifying, as it has diuretic effects.
