When you receive an e-mail containing a bank slip, check the address it was sent from, make sure to carefully observe the subject and body of the message. When opening the payment slip, check the data contained in the attachment, check that the company name, company CNPJ, transaction amount and barcode are correct.

When starting the payment process for this slip, pay attention to the messages transmitted by the responsible bank, also check that the beneficiary data and the bank slip are the same, as the bank slip may be false or cloned. If the data is different, do not make the payment and contact the beneficiary company.

If, by any chance, the payment was approved, Procon advises users to contact the responsible bank, which appears on the slip, and the supplier. If it is fraud, it is recommended to file a police report with the Civil Police, which can be done via the internet, and at Procon. After that, a detailed analysis will be carried out.

Procon also brings other indications, they are:

  • Do not provide your personal data in telephone calls;
  • When carrying out a transaction via PIX, be aware of the recipient's data;
  • Do not give your credit or debit card to strangers;
  • Do not send your photos for the purpose of canceling loans or products, prefer to carry out these processes in person, at the bank branch;
  • Be wary of job offers or extremely advantageous product promotions and never take out bank loans over the phone.
