O telegram is finally going to launch the subscription service to its users. The platform's founder, Pavel Durov, spoke out after the app leaked some resources on the internet this week. O Telegram Premium will arrive later this month with no new features. Instead, the platform bets on more advantages and fewer restrictions for those who decide to pay the monthly fee, becoming a justification for not ceasing to be free. Check out more information below.

The difference for your users will be feature expansion, higher speed and double limit in many cases. Also, subscribers will get news before everyone else, similar to beta testers.
Some advantages for Telegram Premium subscribers
These are some of the most interesting features predicted by the app, but not yet confirmed. Look:
- Uploading files up to 4 GB: Today, the limit for uploading a single file is only 2 GB;
- More characters in the bio: the original limit is 70 characters, but will be 140 for subscribers;
- More space for captions: Photos and videos must have longer descriptions (it's not clear what the new limit will be)
- Profile badge: each subscriber will receive a badge to indicate that they are a supporter of Telegram Premium;
- Animated Profile Avatars: Custom avatars can be created and react to chat lists or individual conversations;
- Conversation management: it will be possible to define the default folder, automatically archive messages and hide conversations from non-contacts.
As you can see, the paid version will be an additional experience for the user. It will still be possible not to pay for the app, but it will have limited feature options.
How much will the subscription cost?
Telegram has yet to officially state how much the subscription will cost. However, last week, the leak pointed to a monthly value of US$ 4.99 (approximately 24 reais). The post doesn't say if the feature will roll out at the same time worldwide or if any countries will be prioritized. It is worth remembering that Brazil is one of Telegram's main markets, although the platform has problems with local justice.
